  • Tingling or numbness in the legs. These sensations are felt especially when the subject remains motionless for a long period of time
  • Edema. These occur especially at the end of the day
  • Cramps
  • From telangiectasies. These are small red vessels that are dilated and appear under the skin

What can be done to prevent venous diseases?

Although treatments exist for some venous diseases, prevention is always better than cure. And fortunately, there are some solutions that can help you prevent venous pathologies.

Playing sports

It is important to play sports to prevent venous insufficiency or to treat it, because 80% of veins are located inside muscles. Physical exercise can then reach and stimulate them. It is therefore advisable to take part in regular physical activity. However, not all sports can be used to prevent venous diseases. In fact, doctors mainly recommend cross-country sports such as cycling, swimming or walking. Sports that put pressure and compression on the legs, such as horseback riding, weightlifting or tennis, should be avoided.

Adopting good habits

Taking certain precautions and adopting good habits on a daily basis can prevent venous diseases. Here are a few examples that you can apply:
